Description: Recently, the U.S. Women's Soccer Team settled their class action lawsuit for equal pay against the U.S. Soccer Federation. You will be provided reference material (video, article) and asked to reflect on gender pay equality.
In this activity, you will respond to three (3) prompts/questions after reviewing the reference material. The response to each of the three (3) prompts/questions is required to be at least 3-4 sentences in length in order to earn SSL credit.

Description: The Smithsonian has an exhibit "If Then She Can" for Women's History Month that features 120 life-size 3D printed statues of contemporary women who are STEM innovator and role models. The statues are located throughout various Smithsonian museums in Washington D.C. You will be provided with the link to the online exhibit material for review.

Description: Every year the National Women’s History Alliance designates a theme for Women's History Month. The 2022 theme is "Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope." According to the National Women’s History Alliance, this theme is "both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history."

Description: On February 25, 2022, President Biden nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to become an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court to replace Justice Stephen Breyer who announced his retirement. Students will be provided reference material (video/article) and asked to reflect on her nomination and possible confirmation.

Description: There have been many songs written about women’s empowerment over the years, I Am Woman and Respect, just to name a couple. You will build on the power of song to fuel change by writing an original song to inspire others to take action and empower others.
In this activity, you will write original lyrics to accompany existing contemporary music. You will be provided with criteria to write the lyrics to earn SSL credit.
