Workshop for 6th & 7th Grade African American and Latino Families interested in HS Magnet Programs - February 18, 2020
My name is Jessica Holloway and I am the President of the Black Student Union at Richard Montgomery High School. I am pleased to announce a second Magnet Workshop on preparing African American and Latino Students for MCPS High School Magnet programs will be held on February 18, 2020, at Richard Montgomery High School! We had such a great turn out at the first workshop and realize many more families can benefit from this information. The NAACP Parent’s Council is a co-sponsor of this event. This workshop is geared toward 6th and 7th-grade students and parents. The workshop will feature a panel of African American and Hispanic/Latino high school magnet students who will discuss the application process, magnet test preparation, general tips, and recommendations about high school magnet programs.
